The Thing

In 1980 a man by the name of Dale Kuipers designed and hand modeled "The Thing" for John Carpenters movie of the same name. This design was never seen in the movie. Dale had to step aside for health reasons prior to production beginning.

I was commissioned to recreate Dale's design by Anthony Egg Head who is a dedicated fan. He asked me to make it fully printable with articulated limbs. This is the final static version of Dale's design of The Thing.

With only 6 months until the 30th anniversary of the movie I would like to commemorate Dale Kuipers contribution to film, art and to the movie The Thing.
